How the Formula Works
Tip Amount: Bill × (Tip% ÷ 100)

How do I calculate a 20% tip?
Move the decimal one place left (10%), then double it. On a $45 bill: $4.50 × 2 = $9 tip. Or simply multiply by 0.20.
